Gonna shank a bitch...cause they signed for my ups package
Every year when Mardi Gras time roles around I have my family in New Orleans send me a King Cake. I reallly miss my family and I miss my home town dearly, and even more I miss the amazing comfort foods(lol fatty^^). King Cakes come only once a year, so I am more excited over this cake than any reasonable person should ever be over an effing cake. This is the only piece of Mardi Gras I have experienced since 2004 pre Katrina.

So, I was home all day today waiting for an air mail delivery from UPS (which costs $50 to overnight a cake btw). I was told that the estimated delivery would be around 4:00 pm. When 6:30 came around and still no UPS delivery, I decided I would check the tracking number one more time. Its status? "Delivered." Although it didn't say to who or where, but it damn well hadn't been delivered here.

First I called UPS, which took 20 miniutes of yelling in to one of those voice-activated-autimated-answering machines-that-don't-give-you-any-help-at-all-ever to get an actual human being(it actually faked me out a couple of times). When I asked about where my package had been delivered the woman on the other end actually said "ooops." She then told me that it had been delivered to apartment 103, despite the package being marked "...105". The person in 103 actually signed for my package, and is probably enjoying the very tasty contents. That right there is a DOUCHE BAG FUCKING MOVE!!!!!!!

By the time I got off the phone with UPS I was very late for work on a very busy night for us. So, I was unable to contact my neighbor. I will do so in the morning, and give them a chance to possibly return my unopened package. So help me, if they have even opened that box, they will know the wrath of satan...in a frilly dress.

Current Mood: pissed offpissed off

How the fuck do they mess that up?! One, the neighbor shouldn't have even taken it because of the address. Two, that worker needs to get suspended.

I know. My neighbor didn't even attempt to return my package either despite it very clearly being marked "Gaelyn Byrne...apt 105." I'll be raising helll with UPS today, and ripping my neighbor a new one.

They have to pay you back the cost. Since UPS has confirmation that it was sent to your neighbor, the neighbor can't deny it. Small claims court?

Agreed. I'd be really mad too!

UPS issues a refund in these cases. Small claims court really shouldn't be used for anything under a few hundred dollars since it actullay costs a lot just to present a case.
